Pricing
Services use the same pricing types as inventory items — per hour, per day, and per month — plus a Quote type for prices that can't be determined in advance.
Pricing Types
Per Hour
Billing is calculated strictly by clock hours. Every started hour counts as a full billable hour.

How it works: Requiply counts the total minutes between start and end, then rounds up to the next full hour. 24 hours and 10 minutes = 25 billable hours.
Good for: Services with a predictable hourly rate, like operator assistance, on-site technical support, or guided equipment training.
Per Day
Billing is calculated in 24-hour blocks. Every started 24-hour period counts as a full billable day.

How it works: Requiply counts the total hours between start and end, then rounds up to the next full 24-hour block. 24 hours = 1 day. 25 hours = 2 days.
Good for: Services tied to full-day commitments, like on-site setup crews, event staffing, or daily cleaning fees.
Per Month
Billing is calculated in calendar-month blocks. Each started month counts as a full billable month. A "month" is defined as the same date in the next calendar month (e.g., March 5 → April 5 = 1 month).
Good for: Ongoing services bundled with long-term rentals, like monthly maintenance, insurance coverage, or storage fees.
Quote
The Quote type has no predefined rate. Instead, you enter a custom price directly when creating (or editing) a booking. The price is not calculated from booking dates — you set it manually each time.
How it works: When you add a Quote-priced service to a booking, Requiply leaves the price field blank. You fill in the amount based on your own assessment, negotiation, or cost calculation. The quoted price appears on the invoice as a flat line item.
Good for: Services where the cost depends on factors you can't standardize into a fixed rate:
Delivery and pickup — price varies by distance, route, floor level, need for special transport, and whether the client is in the city center or 40 km outside it.
Custom installation — assembling a tent for 50 people costs differently than setting up a sound system in a concert hall. Too many variables for a fixed rate.
Damage repair — you won't know the scope or cost until you assess the returned item.
Rush / after-hours surcharges — the premium depends on timing, availability, and how badly the client needs it.
Consultation or site inspection — some visits are 15 minutes, others are half a day. Quoting on the spot is more practical than forcing a per-hour rate.
How Pricing Works for Services
You set a pricing type and rate at the service level. Unlike inventory items (where pricing is set on the item group), each service has its own independent pricing configuration.
When a service is added to a booking, the price is calculated automatically based on the booking dates — unless the service uses the Quote type, in which case you enter the price manually.
